James William Nugent II, of Alexandria, a resource teacher at Groveton Elementary School, is facing charges of Taking Indecent Liberties with Child and 13 counts of Distribution of Child Pornography.
Nugent was in a Toyota Siena when he allegedly approached a juvenile at Camden Street and Wittington Boulevard in Stratford Landing around 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 21, Fairfax County police said.
Nugent lured the victim to his van then exposed himself, police said.
The victim ran away and contacted the police. The victim was not injured. Thanks to a community member in the neighborhood, detectives were provided surveillance of the van seen in the area around the time of the exposure.
The victim in the case is not affiliated with Nugent's employment, police said.
Detectives believe Nugent exposed himself to at least four additional victims near Stratford Elementary School within the past two weeks. Anyone with details is urged to contact police immediately.
